Boards

The Lino Lakes City Council has three boards established by City Code, which provide advice and recommendations on a variety of issues. The length of each term is three years, with appointments being made in the first part of each year. Vacancies are filled throughout the year. Board Members are reimbursed for meeting attendance in accordance with City Code. View the City Code online.

Environmental Board 

The Environmental Board advises the Council on matters concerning the management of natural resources within the city. This board meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.

Park and Recreation Board 

The Park and Recreation Board advises the City Council on matters of recreational activities, park, and trail development, and management. The board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm.

Planning and Zoning Board 

The Planning and Zoning Board advises the City Council on matters related to land use and planning. This board meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm

Committees

The City Council has authorized one Committee, the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC). Membership is open to residents, as well as non-residents that are businesspeople working in and/or serving the Lino Lakes area. This is a volunteer committee. 

Economic Development Advisory Committee 

The Economic Development Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the City Council on business and industrial development and retention matters. The committee meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8 am.

Charter Commission

The Lino Lakes Charter Commission is a 15-member body appointed by a District Judge to oversee the City Charter. Established in 1981, this volunteer commission does not fall under the authority of the City Council. The Charter Commission's charge is to serve as custodians of the City Charter in accordance with State laws, the charter by-laws, and the rules of the Charter Commission.
