Volunteer Opportunities
We welcome you as an applicant as a volunteer! The City of Lino Lakes is looking for passionate and driven individuals for its many volunteer opportunities. See the current openings to learn more.
Charter Commission Openings
The City of Lino Lakes Charter Commission has open positions. The 15-member commission serves as custodians of the City Charter in accordance with state laws, the charter by-laws, and rules of the Charter Commission. The Commission meets the second Thursday evening of each quarter at city hall.
Any Lino Lakes resident, except current City Council members, who is a qualified voter and wishes to serve on the Charter Commission, may call Lino Lakes City Hall at 651-982-2400 and request an application.
Public Safety Department Volunteering Opportunities
The Lino Lakes Public Safety Department's volunteer program was designed to create opportunities for citizens who want to give their time and talents to the community and the public safety department.
Advisory Board Openings
The Lino Lakes City Council has four boards that provide advice and recommendations on a variety of issues. The length of each term is three years, with appointments being made in the first part of each year. Positions are available on each of the following:
Planning and Zoning Board
The Planning and Zoning Board advises the City Council on matters related to land use and planning. This board meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
Park and Recreation Board
The Park and Recreation Board advises the City Council on matters of recreational activities, park, and trail development, and management. The board meets on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm.
Economic Development Advisory Committee
The Economic Development Advisory Committee makes recommendations to the City Council on business and industrial development and retention matters. The committee meets on the first Thursday of each month at 8 am.
Environmental Board
The Environmental Board advises the Council on matters concerning the management of natural resources within the city. This board meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm.
