Cannabis Retail Business Registration

City code provides for the registration of cannabis retail business and hemp retail businesses within the City of Lino Lakes. At this time, we are not accepting further cannabis retail business registration applications. The city code allows for one cannabis retail business registration per 12,500 residents within the city limits, which provides for a total of two business registrations. There is a provision for one municipal cannabis retail location in addition to the two businesses registered under the OCM regulations.

The OMC licensing process requires registration as part of the process and allows for a significant timeline between securing the license/registration and completion of any building construction and opening the store. As of October 2025, the following two businesses have been registered under the retail cannabis registration by the city:

Go4Cannabis Co., 7114 Otter Lake Road, Lino Lakes, MN 55038

The Stoned Gnome Dispensary, LLC, 6933 Lake Drive, Lino Lakes, MN 55014

Hemp Retail Business Registration is separate from Cannabis Retail Registration. You can contact the City Clerk for Hemp Retail registration information.

The Office of Cannabis Management (OCM) provides for the licensing of all types of cannabis businesses. A business must have all licenses from OMC to operate in Lino Lakes. Link to OMC for more information at https://mn.gov/ocm/
