Election Judges

Election judges are responsible for:

  • Opening and closing the polls
  • Registering new voters and signing in registered voters
  • Distributing and collecting ballots
  • Operating voting equipment

Pay

Lino Lakes election judges are paid an hourly wage to complete an online training course and for service on Election Day. Currently the hourly wage for Lino Lakes' election judges ranges from $12 to $16 per hour, depending upon duties. State law allows for time off from work without loss of wages to serve as an election judge with 20 days prior written notice to the employer.

Schedules

Full-day (6 am to approximately 9 pm) or part-time shifts (6 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to approximately 9 pm) are available.
